PTO Membership

Join the Laurel Magnet PTO for the 24/25 school year! Choose your gardener level to help us grow and reach our school goals. Each tier unlocks new rewards that celebrate the growth of our school community and goals.

How to join

Use the form below to select and pay for your membership level. Payments are proceeded by our Zeffy, an online payment platform that allows nonprofits to accept payments without paying fees.

Why should I join PTO?

There are many reasons to join the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), including: 

  • Support your child's education: PTO helps enrich a child's education and make long-term improvements at the school site. 

  • Connect with other parents and teachers: PTO provides a way to connect with other parents, teachers, and volunteers. 

  • Make your voice heard: PTO meetings and events are a place to voice concerns and share ideas with like-minded people. 

  • Help new parents: PTO helps new parents become acclimated to their child's new school. 

  • Give back to the school: PTO helps to lift a burden off teachers with classroom support. 

  • Strengthen your investment in your child's education: Being involved in your child's school can strengthen the investment you made in their education. 

  • Find a support system: PTOs can provide a support system, casual acquaintances, or lifelong friends. 

  • Vote: PTO members have the right to vote during the PTO decision making process. 

  • Volunteer: PTO members can specify what activities they may wish to volunteer for, such as classroom helper, book fair, or fundraisers. 

How are donations used at Laurel?

​Donations help create a positive school environment that enhances learning and student achievement.

  • Fund classroom supplies and technology

  • Support field trips and educational experiences

  • Invest in school and classroom supplies and equipment

  • Sponsor student recognition and awards

  • Enhance library resources

  • Promote student health and wellness initiatives

  • Improve school infrastructure (playgrounds, career center, wellness center)

  • Assist underserved students with supplies and activity costs

  • Support special education and STEM enrichment activities

  • Organize community-building and family engagement events
